A little about me... I'm originally from Newport News, Virginia but my family moved to the Charlotte area when I was 4. I consider myself "from" Huntersville, which is a little north of Charlotte. I'm the youngest of 5 kids. I have two older sisters, an older brother, and a twin sister... who is 1 minute older than me and never lets me forget it! :)
I went through CMS schools my whole life and graduated from Hopewell High School.
After high school, I went to UNC Charlotte and graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Meteorology with a minor in Earth Sciences. I went back a year later for my graduate certificate in Middle Grades Science Education and graduated with a 4.0.
My hobbies include: Hanging out with my husband and fur babies (my 2 cats, Mae and Poop... yes, his name is Poop!), spending time with friends and family, playing video games (Zelda, Pokemon, The Sims, Stardew Valley to name a few), and reading novels (my all-time favorite series is Harry Potter). I love all things Science and am constantly reading articles, keeping up with new research, and attempting to satisfy (with no luck!) my unending curiosity of Planet Earth, our solar system, and the new discoveries outside of our solar system.
